Deady teddy

Here are some exploratory thumbnails for a marching teddy bear i was set to animate.The director wanted the bear to be appealing but not look sentient. it was under an enchantment,not alive. So I was exploring animation that moved the head in a way that prevented it from looking directly at anything. I kept thinking of it as a zombie bear. some poor wretched creature given life for nothing but the amusement of spoiled children. the project was canned before I got  to animate anything.

Haven't blogged in awhile. Heres a character concept for an upcoming project.I wanted the gun and jacket to look oversized. The gun turned out ridiculously big.

It was really hot here a few days ago. This guy was casually laying about 50 yards from my backyard fence. I've seen coyotes pass by a few times (I hear them a lot) but never saw one just sort of..hanging out. he was off after about 15 minutes
