A little graphic violence never hurt anyone

Here is a panel from my upcoming comic! I actually use very little graphic violence in the book. but in this case it was a compositional element. I wanted a line to cut vertically through the panel which creates a division between the panels above it. So a little blood and brain matter came into play.

With apologies to Josh Agle

A paining done for a fun "Weekly Drawing Challenge". If I had more time I would refine the shapes and make it more authentic to "Shag's" but it was fun to ry and copy someone else's style

The Horse and the Pineapple

Long hours+DayQuil+boredom = this

I feel compelled to delve deeper into their relationship .

Deady teddy

Here are some exploratory thumbnails for a marching teddy bear i was set to animate. The director wanted the bear to be appealing but not look sentient. it was under an enchantment, not alive. So I was exploring animation that moved the head in a way that prevented it from looking directly at anything. I kept thinking of it as a zombie bear. some poor wretched creature given life for nothing but the amusement of spoiled children. the project was canned before I got  to animate anything.
